Cemeteries

The qathet Regional District operates the Powell River Regional (Cranberry) Cemetery and Woodland (Texada Island) Cemetery. These cemeteries are open to the public and have no denominational restrictions or other requirements.

 

The operation and management of our cemeteries is governed by our cemetery bylaw. Groundskeeping and interment services are provided by the Regional District. Plots and other services are provided by the Regional District and may be purchased and reserved for future use. Perpetual care is included in the purchase price. Memorial markers are not available through the Regional District, although a placement fee must be paid.
